About

The right kind of virtual assistant

With a deep-rooted love for the British countryside and years of professional administrative experience, I help rural entrepreneurs reclaim their time.

I understand that running a country-based SME is a 24/7 commitment. I created Ask Admin to provide the flexible, high-quality support that lifestyle businesses need to stay professional, organised, and stress-free, (mostly, working with horses and animals always has it’s stresses!).

Many years of experience within the equestrian industry mean I don’t need the basics explained to me. I understand the seasons, the terminology, and the dedication it takes to run a lifestyle business.

My goal is to handle the digital heavy lifting so you can get back to the practical work that drives your passion.

Becoming a superstar VA

Since 2018, I have been running a virtual assistant business, I have provided administration, marketing, PR, and social media support to a range of companies within Mid Devon and throughout West Country.

During this time, I also had the pleasure of being the Communications Manager for the British Grooms Association, (BGA), and the Equestrian Employers Association (EEA), as well as the editor of the British Grooms magazine.

As a lifelong equestrian, this opportunity was not to be missed, and I thoroughly enjoyed working closely with many top equestrian brands including Baileys, Careers in Racing, Equine Bio Genie, Haddon Training Ltd, Medi-K First Aid Training for Horse Riders, NAF, and Westgate Labs. I would also write articles for the British Grooms magazine including features on behalf of Bedmax, Clippersharp, Henchman, KBIS, Morrish Solicitors, and Smart Grooming.

I was also responsible for managing the BGA and EEA social media, press releases, plus copywriting for BGA and EEA blogs as well as external articles published in Horse and Hound and The Equestrian Index‘s Yard Supplement.

The highlight of my year had to be representing the British Grooms Association at Badminton Horse Trails; I had the pleasure of attending this prestigious event for two years to support British grooms. Visiting Badminton Horse Trials with a media press pass has to be one of my favourite experiences!

Life outside of Ask Admin

Away from my office, you will find me on the yard, at an equestrian event or roaming the countryside of Devon and Somerset with my family, normally with horses and dogs in tow.

I grew up in South Devon where I spent most of my time on the farm or within various stable yards. I have been horsey for as long as I can remember.

In 2013, I qualified as a Level 2 Enlightened Equitation Teacher, although I began my EE journey many years before, having my first lesson with Heather Moffett when I was only 12 years old.

Later, I went on to study with Duchy College and worked on a commercial livery, as well as running my own yard.
